What Constitutes a Breach

Examples of copyright or terms of use violations include:

  • Unauthorized copying, distribution, or sharing of licensed materials
  • Use of materials beyond the scope of a purchased license
  • Reproduction of materials without proper attribution or permission
  • Commercial use of materials not licensed for commercial purposes
  • Digital piracy or file sharing of copyrighted resources
  • Use of materials after license expiration or termination

Our Approach to Enforcement

We believe in resolving most issues through education and communication. When breaches occur, our typical approach is:

  1. Assess the nature and scope of the breach
  2. Contact the individual or organization to discuss the situation
  3. Educate about proper licensing and usage expectations
  4. Work toward a resolution that protects our rights while maintaining professional relationships
  5. Reserve legal action for serious, intentional, or repeated violations
